The stressors of life don't discriminate. As we navigate through our individual journeys, we all encounter obstacles and setbacks that we don't need to face alone. As a team, we will develop your resilience and tap into your inner strengths to build your self confidence. During my 15 years of experience in the mental health field, I've guided clients with diverse backgrounds and needs to achieve their goals. I studied psychology at Penn State University and graduated with my master's degree in counseling education in 2013.
I have experience helping people with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship/communication issues, sexual/gender identity issues, and many other life stressors.
Together, we will start our work by building our therapeutic relationship and setting goals for our time together. I will use individualized therapeutic techniques and exercises depending on your intentions for therapy. I use an eclectic style of counseling which includes aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI); Person Centered therapy, and feminist theory.
I am confident I can provide you with a safe space to share your thoughts and feelings and to offer new perspectives and coping skills for you to be your best self.
